Dento Align Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides digital dental design and treatment-planning services to dental laboratories, clinics, orthodontic practices, aligner companies, and other professional dental businesses.

1. Information We Process

We may process business contact details, project instructions, digital dental files, technical records, invoices, and other information necessary to provide our services. Clients should provide only the information necessary for the requested service.

2. Patient Data and Anonymisation

Where possible, patient scans and case files should be anonymised before submission by removing unnecessary patient names, photographs, identification numbers, and other directly identifying information. The client is responsible for ensuring that any patient information shared with us may lawfully be processed and transferred.

3. Secure Transfer and Access

Files should be transferred through approved portals, secure communication channels, or other mutually agreed systems. Access to case information is limited to personnel who require it for service delivery, quality assurance, administration, or technical support.

4. Use of Information

Information is used to perform requested services, communicate with clients, support revisions and quality assurance, maintain business records, and comply with applicable contractual or legal obligations. Patient-related data is not sold or used for unrelated commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

Case files and related digital records may be retained for up to 6 months after case completion for quality control, revisions, support, contractual, or operational purposes. After that period, files may be securely deleted unless a longer period is required by law, regulation, or a separate client agreement.

6. HIPAA, GDPR and Other Privacy Requirements

Where applicable, Dento Align Studio seeks to work in a manner that supports a client’s obligations under relevant privacy and data-protection requirements. No statement on this website should be interpreted as an unconditional certification of compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, or another regulatory framework unless the required technical, organisational, and contractual safeguards are in place.

Clients remain responsible for determining whether patient consent, a Data Processing Agreement, Business Associate Agreement, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other documentation is required for their specific workflow.

7. Confidentiality

Client files, treatment plans, business information, pricing arrangements, and project instructions are treated as confidential unless the information is already public or disclosure is required by law.
